Njideka Jack

Prior to joining MTNN, Njideka was a Graduate Engineer at Orange Telecoms, UK. She was also Product Engineer at T-Mobile UK and was subsequently appointed Senior Engineer, Technology & Development at T-Mobile International (Europe), where she had responsibility for designing various services deployed by the T-Mobile International Group of GSM operators in Germany, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Netherlands and Austria. 

Njideka joined MTNN in 2004, as a VAS (Value Added Services) Planning Engineer, with responsibility for the daily planning, integration and optimization of VAS and Data network/services. In this capacity, she led the packet core network planning team that deployed MTN Nigeria’s GPRS Network. 

In 2007, she was appointed Value Added Services & New Technologies Manager, overseeing the strategic planning and development of VAS sub units, multimedia and supplementary solutions, as well as defining VAS and data network architecture. In addition, she led the network deployment of MTN Nigeria’s WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) core network, the existing MTN Nigeria SMS delivery network and a host of key strategic MTN Value Propositions. 

In April 2012, Njideka became the Broadband Systems Planning Manager, owing to restructuring activities in the Network Group division. In this role, she had responsibility for overseeing the design, planning and deployment of MTNN’s Mobile Broadband systems, including 2G/3G/LTE packet core, in line with strategic business objectives. 

In her new role, Njideka will develop strategies to ensure efficient mobile broadband and IP network utilization and occupancy. She will ensure the availability of standardized methodologies and frameworks to deliver on set targets, as well as enhance the implementation of Network architecture and solutions for Data Communication services. She will also quality-assure network performance on both Broadband and IP services in support of MTN Nigeria’s ICT drive.
